$499,000
If you have been looking for a Hatteras Island home with ocean views, easy beach access, and a little more breathing room, this one is worth a look! Located in Rodanthe, this coastal home is being sold with three lots, Lots 10, 11 and 12, with the home situated on Lot 12. The additional land, combined with the surrounding wetlands stretching toward the ocean, creates a wonderfully open coastal setting with expansive views and a sense of space you don't often find this close to the beach.
The home offers plenty of room to spread out, with multiple bedrooms, spacious living areas, and lots of windows bringing in natural light and those coastal views. The kitchen features a movable island on wheels that can easily be repositioned or removed to suit your needs. The top level primary suite is especially unique, featuring vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, a large private bath with a jetted tub and separate shower, plus an adjoining office area. Just above, the tower room is surrounded by windows and makes a fun additional sleeping space, reading nook, or quiet spot to take in the views.
Outside is where the location really shines! Multiple decks give you plenty of places to enjoy the salt air and take in the ocean views across the open wetlands. The property includes deeded access to both the ocean and the sound, giving you the best of both worlds! The beach and sound access points are just down the road, making it easy to enjoy everything Hatteras Island has to offer. You may notice private property signs along the road leading to the beach. These signs are intended to discourage vehicles from driving down the road, as there is no turnaround at the end, and do not restrict the deeded beach access.
There is also a large ground level storage area with plenty of room for beach chairs, fishing gear, kayaks, bikes, and all the toys that come with life on Hatteras Island.
With three lots included, ocean views, deeded ocean and sound access, generous storage, and an unusually open setting, this property offers something a little different in Rodanthe. Whether you are searching for a primary residence, second home, or investment property, there is a lot to love about this one!
